“Ten Miniatures“ is a set of small pieces of sound exploration, each exactly the same duration: one minute and ten seconds.
It is a kind of study works on various sound production techniques, in a process from dedicated experiments with modular synthesizer to sound processing, editing and post-production into the computer.

This project is the direct follow-up to the composer last album: “Unconventional songs”. Pursuing his exploration of different hybrid sound materials/morphologies, here in musical forms without development: each piece is therefore a kind of straight-forward sonorous state in which he questions the relationship(s) and the border(s) between sound and music. Here again, Lionel Kasparian explores intriguing forms of music and questioning our representations.
